SUMMARY:World Pharmacists’ Day
DESCRIPTION:Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research celebrated World Pharmacists’ Day on 25th\nSeptember\, 2023. The purpose of the celebration was to spread the awareness about the important\nrole of Pharmacists in healthcare system. On this day\, all the services offered by Pharmacists are\nrecognized and valued. Each year welcomes a new theme to develop the showcase the pharmacist in\ntheir positive effect on health. The theme of this year’s world pharmacist day is “PHARMACISTS\nSTRENGTHENING HEALTH CARE SYSTEM: ANGDAAN MAHADAAN”. This theme was\nchosen to reflect the numerous contributions of pharmacy professionals to strength the health care\nsystem.\nThe event started with traditional auspicious lamp-lightening ceremony as a tribute to MAA\nSaraswati which was followed by Oath taking ceremony by budding Pharmacists\, Dignitaries &\nFaculty members. Beautiful song performances by B.Pharm students gave a divine start to the World\nPharmacists Day celebration. The Chief Guests for the program were Shri S. L. Nasa\, Ex-President\nof IHPA & Ex-Registrar- Delhi Pharmacy Council and Dr Jai Prakash\, Senior Principal Scientific\nOfficer\, IPC\, Ghaziabad who gave an inspirational speech to motivate the buddy pharmacists. Shri\nS.L. Nasa ji explained about important sections of Pharmacy Act 1948 and National Pharmacy\nEducation Policy 2020. He also emphasized the role of pharmacists and the contributions made by\nthem to the health care system. Dr Jai Prakash focused on the safety of drugs\, medical devices and\nother health products. They felicitated both Ms. Kritika Gaur and Ms. Neha Sharma with cash prize\nof Rs. 2100/- for getting admission in Master in Advanced Cosmetic Sciences at University of\nBologna\, Italy. They also felicitated Gulafsha Chaudhary with cash prize of Rs. 2100/- for\nQualifying GPAT and NIPER Exam and getting admission in Jamia Hamdard University (NIRF-2).\nOn the eve of pharmacist day\, different competitions (Pharma Quiz\, Oral Presentation\, Logo &\nTagline\, Debate and Rangoli competitions) were organized to bring out the innate talent of the\nstudents. The students had actively participated in the celebration with great zeal and enthusiasm. In\nlogo & tagline competition first and second Position was hold by Alisha Ashraf (B.Pharm I yr) and\nHimani Bansal (B.Pharm I yr). In debate competition\, Somya Sarika\n(B.Pharm IV yr) was winner in affirmative side while Anurag\n(B.Pharm II yr) was winner of negative side of the topic. Somya Sarika\n(B.Pharm IV yr) and Aditya Raj (B.Pharm II yr) got the first and Second prize in oral competition.\nHimani Singhal (B.Pharm IV yr)\, Gunank Gupta\n(B.Pharm III yr)\, Devashish Pal ((B.Pharm II yr) and Himani Bansal (B.Pharm I yr) was the winner\nof Quiz Competition. And the team of Diploma I st year students (Tuba\, Aksha\, Ankit Tomer and\n\n\nAayush Puri) was the winner. Winners of different activities were awarded by the dignitaries Shri S.\nL. Nasa\, Dr Jai Prakash\, Director- Prof. (Dr.) Babita Kumar\, HOD-Pharmacy\, Dr. Shabnam Ain and\nDr. Anuradha Singh. After the event\, Dignitaries and students planted the medicinal plants in herbal\ngarden and inaugurated Model Pharmacy in the college. On this occasion\, Chairman- SEG\, Shri\nManoj Kumar Gupta ji and Treasurer- SEG\, Mr. Kush Aggarwal congratulated all winner students\nand conveyed good wishes to all buddy pharmacists for their bright future. The function was\nattended by students of D.Pharm\, B.Pharm and M.Pharm courses with all faculty members\nincluding\, Dr. Q.Ain\, Ms. Ritu Chauhan\, Dr. Ajeet and Administrative officer\, Mr. Ashish Mittal.
