SUMMARY:62nd National Pharmacy Week
DESCRIPTION:Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research celebrated 62nd National Pharmacy Week (NPW) from 21st to 24th November\, 2023 to acknowledge the valuable contribution of our pharmacists in healthcare delivery of our country. Each year welcomes a new theme to develop the showcase the pharmacist in their positive effect on health. The theme selected for this year is: “Join Pharmacists to Ensure Patient Safety”. A Pharmacist is a member of the health care team directly involved with patient care and practice in the field of health sciences focusing on safe and effective use of medication. Pharmacists are the persons who understand the mechanism of action of drugs\, drug uses\, therapeutic roles\, side effects\, potential drug interactions and communicate this specialized knowledge to patients\, physicians\, and other health care providers. Each year welcomes a new theme to develop the showcase the pharmacist in their positive effect on health. The event started with traditional auspicious lamp-lightening ceremony as a tribute to MAA Saraswati. Different competitions (Pharma Quiz\, Oral Presentation and Pharma-extempore) were organized to bring out the innate talent of the students. The students had actively participated in the celebration with great zeal and enthusiasm. In Oral presentation competition first and second Position was hold by Cutee (B.Pharm I yr)\, Muskan (D. Pharm I yr) and Abhisha John (B.Pharm I yr)\, Hira (D. Pharm II yr). In extempore competition first\, second and third Position was hold by Varun (B.Pharm II yr)\, Kirti (B.Pharm IV yr) and Akash (B.Pharm IV yr). Team Mars- Himani Singhal (B.Pharm IV yr)\, Tushar Tomer (B.Pharm III yr)\, Aanchal (B.Pharm II yr) and Abhisha Johan (B.Pharm I yr) was the winner of Quiz Competition. And the team Jupiter – Srishti (B.Pharm IV yr)\, Vipin (B.Pharm III yr)\, Varun (B.Pharm II yr) and Rajan (B.Pharm I yr) was the runner. Winners of different activities were awarded by the Director- Prof. (Dr.) Babita Kumar HOD-Dr. Shabnam Ain\, Dr. Anuradha Singh\, Dr. Qurratul Ain\, Dr. Ajeet\, Ms. Ritu Chauhan and event co-ordinators- Ms. Nidhi\, Ms. Monika\, Ms.Akshoo\, Ms. Reenu\, Ms. Deepti\, Ms. Nutan\, Ms. Pooja\, Ms. Bhawna\, Ms. Zulekha\, Ms. Narjis and Ms. Manisha. On this occasion\, Chairman-SEG Shri Manoj Kumar Gupta Ji motivated all the faculty/event co-ordinators and conveyed good wishes to all the participants for their bright future.
