SUMMARY:Guest Lecture by Dr. Neeraj Garg
DESCRIPTION:Sanskar College of Pharmacy\, Ghaziabad organized guest lecture on Nutrition by Dr. Neeraj Garg\, CMO\, Sarvodya Hospital\, Ghaziabad during the celebration of 62nd National Pharmacy Week (NPW) from 22nd to 25th November\, 2023 to acknowledge the valuable contribution of our pharmacists in healthcare delivery of our country. The theme selected for this year is: “Join Pharmacists to Ensure Patient Safety”.\nThe eminent speaker\, Dr. Neeraj Garg delivered a lecture on “Nutrition”. It is a critical part of health and development. Better nutrition is related to improved infant\, child and maternal health\, stronger immune systems\, lower risk of non-communicable diseases (such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease) and longevity.\nHe also explained: How does poor nutrition affects on heath? Consuming unhealthy food and beverages\, such as sugar-sweetened beverages and highly processed food can lead to weight gain\, obesity and other chronic conditions that put people at higher risk of at least 13 types of cancer.\nDr. Neeraj emphasized on improving eating pattern and healthy lifestyle. People with healthy eating patterns live longer and are at lower risk for serious health problems such as heart disease\, type II diabetes\, and obesity.\n\n\nThe lecture was very well received by the D.Pharm. B.Pharm and M.Pharm. students. The information and practical insight in his deliberation will be useful for the students throughout their career. The event was very well co-ordinated by Dr Qurratul Ain\, Dr Shabnam Ain\, Dr Anuradha Singh\, Dr. Ajeet\, Ms. Reenu and Ms. Nutan. On this occasion\, Chairman- SEG\, Shri Manoj Kumar Gupta Ji and Director Prof. (Dr.) Babita Kumar conveyed good wishes to all buddy pharmacists for their bright future.
