SUMMARY:Alumni Talk with Ms. Shambhavi Chaturvedi
DESCRIPTION:Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research\, Ghaziabad organized Alumni Talk on 04.12.2023\nfor the students of D. Pharm & B.Pharm. It was a moment of great pride for SEG family to\ninteract with Ms. Shambhavi Chaturvedi alumnus of B.Pharm (2017-2021)\, pursuing PhD from\nthe National Institute of Genetics\, SOKENDAI University Japan. She’s exploring how neurons\ndetect visual motion and trying to explore the crucial role of genetics in this regard. The talk was\ndelivered on Research Opportunities in Abroad after B.Pharm. She addressed the audience by\nsharing her overwhelming experience in the Institution. Entire session spanned for 1 hour in\nwhich she highlighted her research experiences\, opinions and about career with the young\nbudding pharmacists for becoming a growing professional. She also shared about her current\nresearch and the purpose of study which will be used to help the patients suffering from\nneuro-ophthalmic diseases via prospective gene therapy approaches. Her work would also\nenhance current understanding about neuron activity and functions. Many students interacted\nwith her one-on-one after the talk was over. The talk was simple\, energetic\, inspiring and\nmotivating for the students to pursue a more fulfilling career. The participants raised many\ndoubts and queries which were promptly answered by Ms. Shambhavi. The whole session was\nvery well organized by Dr. Qurratul Ain (Co-ordinator-Alumni Committee) with the great\nsupport of Director\, Prof. (Dr.) Babita Kumar.
