SUMMARY:Industrial visit to Dabur Research Foundation (DRF)
DESCRIPTION:Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research\, Ghaziabad organized an Industrial visit to Dabur Research Foundation (DRF) on 16th April\, 2024 for B.Pharm III year Students. DRF is an Indian Contract Research Organization established in 1979 and one of the best preclinical research facility spread over in around 75000 sq ft. area. DRF offer preclinical services in Drug Discovery and Development\, ranging from identification of potential lead molecules\, drug development to IND enabling studies to global Biotech\, Pharma\, Phytopharmaceuticals Cosmeceuticals and academia sectors. Students were exposed to various functional areas of Pharmacology\, Toxicology and Analytical laboratories and state of the art Animal Facility. There were 45 Students along with one Faculty Member (Mr. Sazid Khan) who became a part of the Industrial Trip. The visit was very well co-ordinated by Dr. Qurratul Ain. It was very informative and learning experience for students and faculty member. This visit provided an excellent opportunity to get familiar with Pharmaceutical Industry environment.

They also visit the Jehangir Mahal\, a magnificent palace built by Raja Bir Singh Deo in honor of Mughal Emperor Jehangir.\n\n\nThe itinerary also includes visits to several temples\, such as the Chaturbhuj Temple and Ram Raja Temple\, where students marvel at the exquisite craftsmanship of the temples’ architecture and learn about the religious practices and beliefs associated with each site. In the evening\, students attend a captivating sound and light show at Orchha Fort\, reliving the history of Orchha and its rulers.\n\n\nCultural workshops are also offered to enhance the cultural experience\, with workshops on traditional art forms\, music\, or dance conducted by local artisans or cultural experts. Interactive sessions led by knowledgeable guides or educators provide students with opportunities to ask questions\, share insights\, and deepen their understanding of Orchha’s history\, architecture\, and culture.\n\n\nReflection and journaling are encouraged to foster critical thinking and personal growth. Free time is also provided for students to explore Orchha at their own pace\, interact with locals\, shop for souvenirs\, or simply soak in the serene ambiance of the historical town.

SUMMARY:International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB)
DESCRIPTION:Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research celebrated International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB) on 22 May to increase understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues. The IDB 2024 theme “Be part of the plan” is a call to action for all stakeholders to halt and reverse biodiversity loss. During this celebration extempore competition has been performed by B.Pharm and D.Pharm students. More than 50 students were participated enthusiastically. Rajat kansal (B.Pharm I year)\, Himani bansal (B.Pharm I year) and Jitendra Kumar (B.Pharm II year) got the first\, Second and third prize respectively. The event was successfully coordinated by faculty members Ms. Bhawna Bisht and Ms. Zulekha Ali. Winners of this event were congratulated and appreciated by Director – Prof. (Dr.) Babita Kumar\, HODs- Dr. Shabnam Ain\, Dr. Anuradha Singh and overall co-ordinator Dr. Qurratul Ain for their exuberant participation.

DESCRIPTION:Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research organized Farewell Party “SAYONARA” for 16th Batch of B.Pharm students on 30th May 2024 with great enthusiasm. The function began with lightening of lamp followed by entertaining group dances\, solo dances\, and solo song performances by the students. Different tags were awarded to the final year students keeping in mind their performance\, appearance and capabilities they have shown throughout the session. Some exciting games were also arranged for them and they were enjoyed. Token of love and appreciation was given to the seniors by their juniors. Ms. Farewell and Mr. Farewell titles won by Himani Singhal and Purushottam Tomer respectively. Some more titles won by the participants of B.Pharm IV year students like Mr. Handsome by Parag Aggarwal\, Ms. Eve by Kirti Singh Tomer. Chairman Shri Manoj Kumar Gupta\, Director Pharmacy\, Prof. (Dr.) Babita Kumar\, HODs\, Dr. Shabnam Ain\, Dr. Anuradha Singh\, Dr. Qurratul Ain and Dr. Ajeet wished good luck to all the students for their future endeavors to make their lives more happy and prosperous. DESCRIPTION:Eminent speaker\, Dr. Shibli Jameel Ahmad\, Professor in the Department of Pharmacology\, School of Pharmaceutical Education and Research\, Jamia Hamdard- New Delhi\, delivered a guest lecture on Pharmacology of drugs affecting on Autonomic Nervous System on 02 July 2024 at Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research\, Ghaziabad. He shared about various terminologies and basic concepts of Autonomic Nervous System (ANS). The lecture was an elaborative explanation of organization of nervous system with special emphasis on ANS\, various receptors involved with their specific location and functions. He also explained neurotransmitters\, neurohumoral transimission and their pharmacological fate (Composition\, release\, functions\, and degradation). He gave in depth knowledge of sympathomimetics\, sympatholytics\, parasympathomimetics and parasympatholytics with their pharmacological actions\, indications\, contraindications and adverse effect. Along with the conceptual knowledge he also suggested books to refer for better understanding and practice. The lecture was very well received by the B.Pharm students. The information and practical insight in his deliberation will be useful for the students throughout their career.

It was a charitable work for needy childrens. Our students of B.Pharm: Shivam Chauhan\, Varun Kumar\, Deepak Jaiswal\, Madhur Yadav\, Deepak Kumar\, Kartikay Sharma\, Dhruv Aggarwal\, Shivam Mishra\, Siddharth Vardhan\, Mohan Yadav\, Rohit Chauhan had the opportunity to interact and to teach the needy children for proper assistance\, guidance and basic knowledge. They taught them the basic concepts of English\, Maths\, Science\, and Computer and also help them to come across different personality development activities like Debate\, Physical activities\, Art & craft and different outdoor – indoor games. DESCRIPTION:Speech Competition on “Aatmanirbhar Bharat”\nThe Sewa Pakhwada Campaign\, an initiative by the Government of India\, aims to inspire citizens to engage in community service and promote social welfare. The 2024 campaign took place from September 17 to October 2\, coinciding with the celebration of Gandhi Jayanti\, emphasizing the principles of service and community betterment.As part of the Sewa Pakhwada Campaign 2024\, a speech competition was organized by Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research\, Ghaziabad\, focusing on the theme of “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” (Self-Reliant India). This event aimed to encourage participants to explore and express their thoughts on self-reliance and the role of citizens in contributing to national development. The competition was organized on27th September and 30th September fostering a spirit of social responsibility. B.Pharm & D.Pharm Students of Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research were participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. All the participants delivered a speech lasting 3 to 5 minutes\, addressing the theme of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. By providing a platform for expression and idea-sharing\, the event not only highlighted the importance of self-reliance but also encouraged community involvement. Mahfooz from B.Pharm\, Alisha Ashraf\, B Pharm 2nd year\, Aanchal B Pharm 3rd year got first\, second and third prize respectively. Ankush D Pharm 2nd year and Kanchan B Pharm 4th year were also appreciated by consolation prize. Continued efforts to promote awareness and action towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat will further strengthen our collective journey towards a self-reliant nation. The event was successfully coordinated by faculty members Ms. Bhawna Bisht and Ms. Manisha\, Ms. Pooja and Mr.Ankur. DESCRIPTION:Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research organized a blood donation camp in collaboration with Rotary Club of Ghaziabad Central on the occasion of Pharmacist Day today\, September 24\, 2024 in the college campus. Pharmacists’ Day is celebrated every year on September 25 across the world to recognize the contribution of pharmacists in providing better health care to the society. All the students of Sanskar Educational Group actively participated in donating blood to save the lives of people who need blood in any emergency. Blood donation also helps in reducing cardiovascular risk\, cancer risk\, lowering cholesterol levels\, stimulating the production of new red blood cells and improving overall health. On this occasion\, District Governor Rotarian Amit Gupta\, Rotary Club President Rotarian Ajay Sharma\, Past President Rotarian Dr. Atul Jain and Past President RNE Dr. Swati Gupta were present to motivate the blood donors. The students were inspired by the presence of SEG Management members\, Mrs. Manisha Gupta\, Mr. Lav Agarwal\, Mr. Kush Agarwal\, Director-Pharmacy Prof. (Dr.) Babita Kumar\, Director-Engineering Prof. (Dr.) Dharmendra Singh\, Dr. Pooja Neemey Sharma\, Ar. Director – Pharmacy\, Prof. (Dr.) Babita Kumar welcomed renowned and dynamic Chief Guest\, Dr. Sunil Kumar Tyagi\, Chief Medical Officer\, Hapur and facilitated the administration of Oath by budding Pharmacist\, Dignitaries & Faculty members. Beautiful song performances by B.Pharm students gave a divine start to the World Pharmacists Day celebration.\nChief Guest\, Dr. Sunil Kumar Tyagi gave an inspirational speech on the role of pharmacists and their great contributions to the health care system. He emphasized that the Pharmacists are the backbone of healthcare system who ensures that medicines are safe\, effective\, and accessible to everyone. Their knowledge\, dedication\, and care go beyond the counter\, making a difference in the lives of millions around the world. The pharmacists work in Community Pharmacy\, Clinical Pharmacy and Hospital Pharmacy for patient counseling services and also participate in preventing drug abuse.\nOn the eve of pharmacist day Pharma Quiz and Debate competitions were organized to bring out the innate talent of the students. The students had actively participated in the celebration with great zeal and enthusiasm. In Debate Competition first\, second and third position was hold by Tushar Tomer (B.Pharm 4th year) Devashish Pal (B.Pharm 3rd year) and Abhisha John (B.Pharm 2nd year): Far the motion and Lakshay Bhatnagar (B.Pharm 1st year) Rohit Pal (B.Pharm 2nd year) and Sameer (B.Pharm 2nd year): Against the motion. DESCRIPTION:Swachhata Pakhwada is a campaign launched by the Government of India to promote cleanliness and sanitation in the country. The campaign is an important initiative to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness and to encourage citizens to take action towards creating a cleaner and healthier India. To commemorate the Swachhata Pakhwada campaign\, a speech competition was organized on the themes “Green India\, Clean India” and “Waste to Wealth” on 4 October 2024 during celebration of Swachhata Pakhwada from 2nd October to 31st October 2024. The competition was designed to encourage students to think critically about the importance of cleanliness and sustainability in our environment and to promote awareness about the significance of waste management and its potential to create wealth among students and to encourage them to take action towards reducing waste and creating a sustainable future.More than 100 students of B.Pharm & D.Pharm Students of Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research and 15 Faculty members were participated in this event. All the participants delivered a speech lasting 3 to 5 minutes\, addressing the theme. Judges were evaluated the speeches based on content\, delivery\, and overall impact. The speech should leave a lasting impression on the audience and inspire them to take action towards creating a cleaner and greener India. After a thorough evaluation of all the speeches\, the winners were announced as Himani (B.Pharm 2nd year)\, Alisha B.Pharm 2nd year) andMahfooz (B.Pharm 1st year) got first\, second and third prize respectively. The winners’ speeches showcased their creativity\, knowledge and passion for creating a cleaner and greener India. All participants’ speech was clear\, thoughtful and well-delivered. The event was successfully coordinated by faculty members Ms. Nutan\, Ms. Sonal\, Mr. Sazid and Mr. Lucky. Winners of this event were congratulated and appreciated by Director – Prof. (Dr.) Babita Kumar\, HOD- Dr. Shabnam Ain for their exuberant participation. Students were given a guided tour of the manufacturing facility. They observed the production line\, including raw material processing\, solvent extraction\, and packaging operations. Students learned about the various tests conducted to ensure the purity and quality of the solvents produced. The lab personnel explained analytical techniques like chromatography and spectrophotometry. The students were briefed on the safety protocols implemented in the plant\, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)\, emergency procedures\, and environmental safety measures. It was an enriching experience for B.Pharm students\, providing valuable insights into the practical aspects of the pharmaceutical industry. Such visits are essential for students to apply their theoretical knowledge and prepare for their future careers in pharmacy. There were 43 Students and Faculty Members (Dr. Ajeet and Mr.Sazid) who became a part of the Industrial Trip. The visit was very well co-ordinated by Dr. Qurratul Ain. SUMMARY:Industrial visit to Mother Dairy
DESCRIPTION:Sanskar College of Management and Professional Studies (SCMPS)\, Sanskar Educational Group\, Ghaziabadon 10th October 2024 organised an intriguing visit to Mother Dairy\,Vinod Nagar Delhi which isone of the largest Liquid milk plant of Asia\, for the students of BBA as part of industrial visit. The visit intended to give students an exposure to the overall operation management of a manufacturing unit.\nThe visit started with welcome milk drink to all students at the plant. Plant Officer Shri R K Pillai\, PR manager of Mother Dairy plant through a guided tour and power point presentation\, shared the details of different products viz. Mother Dairy\, Safal and Dhara.Testing the purity of milk through various methods were shown. Different process of pasteurization\, hominization plants and packaging which is done at Pilakwa\, UP plant was explained to students in detail. The day concluded with ice cream treat to students and faculty coordinators from SCMPS.\nSCMPS is committed to hosting such cognitive visits in future too for empowering students to hone theirpotential.
