Our students left us spellbound! Sher-o-Shayari sessions filled the air with poetic charm\, while Nukkad Natak brought social issues to the forefront. Essay writing and poster making competitions showcased intellectual prowess\, and slogan writing highlighted quick wit. They taught them the basic concepts of English\, Maths\, Science\, and Computer and also help them to come across different personality development activities like Debate\, Physical activities\, Art & craft and different outdoor – indoor games. DESCRIPTION:Eminent speaker\, Dr. Shibli Jameel Ahmad\, Professor in the Department of Pharmacology\, School of Pharmaceutical Education and Research\, Jamia Hamdard- New Delhi\, delivered a guest lecture on Pharmacology of drugs affecting on Autonomic Nervous System on 02 July 2024 at Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research\, Ghaziabad. He shared about various terminologies and basic concepts of Autonomic Nervous System (ANS). The lecture was an elaborative explanation of organization of nervous system with special emphasis on ANS\, various receptors involved with their specific location and functions. He also explained neurotransmitters\, neurohumoral transimission and their pharmacological fate (Composition\, release\, functions\, and degradation). He gave in depth knowledge of sympathomimetics\, sympatholytics\, parasympathomimetics and parasympatholytics with their pharmacological actions\, indications\, contraindications and adverse effect. Along with the conceptual knowledge he also suggested books to refer for better understanding and practice. The lecture was very well received by the B.Pharm students. The information and practical insight in his deliberation will be useful for the students throughout their career.

Some more titles won by the participants of B.Pharm IV year students like Mr. Handsome by Parag Aggarwal\, Ms. Eve by Kirti Singh Tomer. DESCRIPTION:Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research celebrated International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB) on 22 May to increase understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues. The IDB 2024 theme “Be part of the plan” is a call to action for all stakeholders to halt and reverse biodiversity loss. During this celebration extempore competition has been performed by B.Pharm and D.Pharm students. More than 50 students were participated enthusiastically. Rajat kansal (B.Pharm I year)\, Himani bansal (B.Pharm I year) and Jitendra Kumar (B.Pharm II year) got the first\, Second and third prize respectively. The event was successfully coordinated by faculty members Ms. Bhawna Bisht and Ms. Zulekha Ali. Students learn about the architectural features\, historical significance\, and the lives of past rulers. They also visit the Jehangir Mahal\, a magnificent palace built by Raja Bir Singh Deo in honor of Mughal Emperor Jehangir.\n\n\nThe itinerary also includes visits to several temples\, such as the Chaturbhuj Temple and Ram Raja Temple\, where students marvel at the exquisite craftsmanship of the temples’ architecture and learn about the religious practices and beliefs associated with each site. DRF is an Indian Contract Research Organization established in 1979 and one of the best preclinical research facility spread over in around 75000 sq ft. area. DRF offer preclinical services in Drug Discovery and Development\, ranging from identification of potential lead molecules\, drug development to IND enabling studies to global Biotech\, Pharma\, Phytopharmaceuticals Cosmeceuticals and academia sectors. Students were exposed to various functional areas of Pharmacology\, Toxicology and Analytical laboratories and state of the art Animal Facility. There were 45 Students along with one Faculty Member (Mr. Sazid Khan) who became a part of the Industrial Trip. The visit was very well co-ordinated by Dr. Qurratul Ain. It was very informative and learning experience for students and faculty member. This visit provided an excellent opportunity to get familiar with Pharmaceutical Industry environment.

Patanjali Yogpeeth is a\nNaturopathy Centre\, aimed at providing psychological and spiritual heath to people suffering\nfrom various incurable diseases through integrated therapy of Ayurveda. The Purpose of the trip\nwas the Exploration and Identification of Medicinal Plants as a Part of B.Pharm Curriculum.\nHerbal Garden Visit was very insightful to know that the 900 species of Medicinal Plants are\nbeing used in the treatment of various ailments without any side effects. The beauty of Ayurveda\ncould clearly be seen and felt. There were 43 Students and 2 Faculty Members (Mr. Sazid Khan\nand Mr.Ankur Yadav) who became a part of the Industrial Trip. The visit was very well co-\nordinated by Dr. Qurratul Ain. Such Industrial Visits are very important for the intellectual\ngrowth of students. He also delivered about the current status of the Pharmacovigilance program of India\, thus enriching the knowledge of students. Pharmacovigilance is one of the growing fields which the students can opt for after completing their Master programme in Pharmacy. Pharmacovigilance involves monitoring\, assessing and preventing the adverse effects of pharmaceutical products.\nDr. Anil Kumar Teotia described the Good Laboratory Practices and development of monographs in Indian Pharmacopoeia. He shared that Good Laboratory Practices include a set of principles that provides a framework within which non-clinical laboratory studies are planned\, performed\, monitored\, reported and archived. GLP is a Quality System which are applied to all laboratory processes to ensure quality\, integrity and reliability of safety data and achieve high quality in drug product\nThe students of B.Pharm third year and final year participated in the workshop with zeal and enthusiasm. Ltd.\nMedical coding is one of the career options which B.Pharm students can opt after being certified medical coder. In this medical coder transform healthcare diagnosis\, procedures\, medical services\, and equipment on medical records of patients into universal medical alphanumeric codes. During the workshop\, students were able to learn medical terminologies used for Medical Coding as well as new software developments and business management tools.\nDuring the workshop\, Mr. Vikas Maheshwari\, Managing Director- Genus Healthcare explained the importance of Medical Coding in Healthcare System and elaborated it in detail with case studies.\nMr. Hans Raj\, Genus Healthcare told that medical coding is implemented in US to strengthen Healthcare system. He also discussed about CPC and CCS examination for US Healthcare Medical Coder.\nMr. Shobhit Malik\, Genus Healthcare trained the students on evaluation and management coding (E & M Coding) which is a medical coding process in support of medical billing. Furthermore\, he explained the students about International Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD)\, ICD10 Codes\, Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes\, Trouble Shooting in ICD Code Search. He guided the students about how to give codes through examples of case studies and how CPT codes are used to track and bill medical\, surgical\, and diagnostic services. He also demonstrated how coding is done on industrial level.\nAll B.Pharm III year and IV year participated in this workshop with a greater zeal and enthusiasm and got an opportunity to learn various terminologies used in Medical Coding. After completion of workshop\, the students were evaluated and certificates were distributed to all the participants during the valedictory function. He initiated pharmaceutical education at the university level in the Banaras Hindu University with three year degree course of Bachelor of Pharmacy in July 1937.\nThe event started with traditional auspicious lamp-lightening ceremony as a tribute to Maa Saraswati. In addition\, Oral Presentation on topic “Industry-Academia collaboration for implementation of National Education Policy” and Extempore competitions were also conducted to bring out innate talents of the students. In Oral presentation competition\, first and second position was hold by Alisha Ashraf (B.Pharm Ist year)\, Insha Saifi (D.Pharm IInd year) and Tushar Tomar (B.Pharm IIIrd year)\, Muskan Saini (D.Pharm Ist year). Purshottam Tomar (B.Pharm IVth year) was the winner and Akash (B.Pharm IVth year)\, Kirti Singh Tomar (B.Pharm IVth year) were the runner of Extempore competition. All the winners in different events were appreciated and given certificates and prizes. Some of the meritorious students were appreciated for their hard work and sincerity in preparation of best tutorial notebooks.\nAll students of D.Pharm\, B.Pharm and M.Pharm courses participated with a greater zeal and enthusiasm in the celebration of National Pharmacy Education day to make it a grand success.\nChairman\, Shri Manoj Kumar Gupta\, Mr. Lav Aggarwal\, Mr. Kush Aggarwal\, Director\, Prof. Dr. Babita Kumar\, HOD\, Dr. Shabnam Ain and Dr. Anuradha Singh congratulated all winner students and conveyed good wishes to all buddy pharmacists for their bright future. DESCRIPTION:On February 12\, 2024\, Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research in Ghaziabad organized a International Epilepsy Day awareness program. The event was conducted for D.Pharm I year students\, and its purpose was to educate students about Epilepsy symptoms\, causes\, and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.\nDuring the program\, students shared information about epilepsy\, including details about the early stage diagnosis and treatment process. Their active participation and interaction with faculty members and judges demonstrated their enthusiasm for raising awareness about cancer.\nThe event was well-coordinated by Class Coordinator Mrs. Nutan\, Ms. Pooja Malkani\, Ms. Anshika Garg\, and Mr. Abhinav Arya. The guidance of Director Dr. Babita Kumar and HODs Dr. Shabnam Ain and Dr. Anuradha Singh played a crucial role in the success of the program.
