DESCRIPTION:Sanskar college of pharmacy and research conducted World Cancer Day awareness program for D.Pharm First year students on 04/02/2023. The purpose of this program was to make the students aware of Cancer\, its types\, diagnosis\, symptoms\, cure\, treatment\, the role of pharmacist and social responsibilities towards cancer patients. The students with their great enthusiasm participated in Poster presentation and Oral presentation. In Oral presentation Vineet\,Insa\,Jannati and in Poster Presentation Insha\, Sumukh and Dushyant were the winners.The event was judged by Ms. Swati Mittal & Ms. Reenu Chauhan.\nThe event was well coordinated by Mr. Himanshu Singh\, Ms. Nutan Singh and Ms. Anshika Garg

DESCRIPTION:Students of B. Pharm Final year visited leading Pharmaceutical company\, Albert David Ltd\, Ghaziabad along with faculty member Mr. Ankur Gupta on date 15/02/2023. Students were exposed to various departments like raw material house\, sampling room\, multi column distillation plant\, manufacturing unit of Small Volume Parentral (SVP)\, Large Volume Parentral (LVP) & capsules\, sophisticated instrumentation facility\, Quality Assurance and Quality Control\, packaging of parentrals. It was very informative and learning experience for students and faculty member. This visit provided an excellent opportunity to get familiar with Pharmaceutical Industry environment.

SUMMARY:Eminent speaker\, Dr. Shibli Jameel Ahmad
DESCRIPTION:Eminent speaker\, Dr. Shibli Jameel Ahmad\, Professor in the Department of Pharmacology\, Faculty of Pharmacy\, Jamia Hamdard- New Delhi\, delivered a guest lecture on General Principles of Chemotherapy on 20th February 2023 at Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research\, Ghaziabad. He shared about various terminologies and basic concepts of chemotherapy and chemotherapeutic drug. He elaborated more on cytotoxic chemotherapy which refers to agents whose mechanisms of action cause cell death or prevents cell growth\, generally through inhibiting microtubule function\, protein function\, or DNA synthesis. Goals of chemotherapy for cancer are to cure\, control or relieve suffering has been discussed in detail. The lecture was very well received by the B.Pharm students. The information and practical insight in his deliberation will be useful for the students throughout their career.

SUMMARY:National Organ Donor day program
DESCRIPTION:Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research\, Ghaziabad organised the National Organ Donor day program for D.Pharm I year students on 14th February\, 2023. The purpose of this program was to make the students aware of Organ donation\, importance of organ donation and role of pharmacist and social responsibilities towards the needs of donation of different organs. The program was intended to make them aware of how to donate the organ and how many types of organ can be donated by healthy people. A Debate competition was also organised for the students.\nThe event was well coordinated by Ms. Nutan Singh\, Mr. Himanshu Singh and Ms. Anshika Garg under the guidance of HOD- D.Pharm\, Prof. (Dr.) Anuradha Singh.
