SUMMARY:National Pharmacy Education Day Celebration
DESCRIPTION:National Pharmacy Education Day Celebration at Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research\, Ghaziabad:\nSanskar College of Pharmacy and Research celebrated National Pharmacy Education Day to commemorate 121st birth anniversary of Prof. M.L. Schroff : Father of the Indian Pharmaceutical Education. In which different professional activities viz. poster presentation\, oral presentation\, extempore and debate competition has been performed by B.Pharm students. More than 50 students were participated enthusiastically in various activities. In poster competition first and second Position was hold by Abhishek Tyagi- B.Pharm IV year and Lakshay Kumar B.Pharm III Year. In debate competition\, Akash-B.Pharm III year was winner in affirmative side while Purushottam Tomer-B.Pharm III year was winner of negative side of the topic. Akash-B.Pharm III year and Himani Singhal-B.Pharm III year got the first and Second prize in oral competition. Again Himani Singhal-B.Pharm III and Akash-B.Pharm III year got the first and Second prize in extempore competition respectively. The event was successfully coordinated by faculty members Mrs. Reenu Chauhan\, Mrs Nidhi Jain\, Mrs. Nutan\, Mrs. Monika Dhaka and Mr. Ankur Gupta. Winners of different activities were awarded by Director\, Prof. (Dr.) Babita Kumar\, HOD\, Prof. (Dr.) Shabnam Ain\, overall co-ordinator Dr. Qurratul Ain and all event co-ordinators. They appreciated them for their exuberant participation.

DESCRIPTION:Eminent speaker\, Dr. Madhubala Gaur\, Professor and Head\, Department of General Surgery\, G.S. Medical College\, Hapur\, delivered a health talk on Breast Cancer Awareness and Screening on 14 March 2023 at Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research\, Ghaziabad. She shared about various aspects like probable symptoms that cause breast cancer\, ways to identify early stages to be cured off the symptoms to cause breast cancer. She also explained about self-breast examination and elaborated on the ways to identify it in early stages to be cured off like dimpling\, puckering\, stretching pain in the back\, retraction etc. The participants raised queries and doubts which were promptly answered by Dr Madhubala. The information and practical insight in her deliberation will be useful throughout the life.

SUMMARY:Industrial Visit: Indian Contract Research Organization
DESCRIPTION:Industrial Visit:\n\n\nStudents of B. Pharm Third and Final year along with faculty member Mr. Ankur Gupta visited Dabur Research Foundation (DRF)\, an Indian Contract Research Organization established in 1979 and one of the best preclinical research facility spread over in around 75000 sq ft area. on 17th March\, 2023. DRF offer preclinical services in Drug Discovery and Development\, ranging from identification of potential lead molecules\, drug development to IND enabling studies to global Biotech\, Pharma\, Phytopharmaceuticals Cosmeceuticals and academia sectors. Students were exposed to various functional areas of Pharmacology\, Toxicology & Analytical laboratories and state of the art Animal Facility.\nIt was very informative and learning experience for students and faculty member. This visit provided an excellent opportunity to get familiar with Pharmaceutical Industry environment.

Expert talk was delivered by eminent speaker\, Mrs. Kulvinder Saluja Madaan\, Founder and CEO\, KV Pharma Vision. She informed that Indian Pharma Industry has registered a spectacular progress today ranks 3rd in volume of production of drugs and 14th in value in the global pharmaceutical market. Pharmacy degree holders are associated with the discovery\, development\, production and sales of medicines by joining in various Pharmaceutical Industries. She discussed about many job opportunities available in pharmaceutical industry for a Pharmacy professional like Research and development (R&D)\, Manufacturing of drugs\, Quality Control\, Quality Assurance\, Pharmaceutical Marketing\, Hospital Pharmacy\, Clinical Pharmacy\, Community Pharmacy and teaching. She discussed that Pharmaceutical business cannot be successful without marketing and sales of medicines. She emphasized on Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing and how anyone can progress their career in Pharmaceutical Sales. The lecture was very well received by the students. The information and practical insight in her deliberation will be useful for the students throughout their career.

Esteemed guest Mr. Hansraj\, Director-Training & Placement has participated and emphasized on Career Orientation- Avenues in Medical Coding. Dr. Pooja Sharma- Medical Coder trainer briefed about Basics of ICD 10 CM and Basics on coding the CPT and ENM levels has been explained by Mr. Somesh Bhatt\, Director-Operations. The entire session was an interactive session\, and the speakers answered many queries raised by the participants. The entire programme was very well organized by Dr. Q. Ain-Organizing Secretary with the support of Honorable Management\, Director- Prof. (Dr.) Babita Kumar\, faculties and students at the Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research\, Ghaziabad.

There\, the Sanskar College of Engineering captured first position out of 48 teams. They got cash prize of Rs. 5\,000 and a trophy. Abhishek Tyagi\, Jatin Tomar\, Chandan Sharma students of B.Tech CSE participated and presented the project Sign Language Converter with great enthusiasm as they have already secured first position in district level.

DESCRIPTION:Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research\, Ghaziabad organised Nukkad Natak program by D.Pharm I year students on World Tuberculosis Day 24th March 2023 .The purpose of this program was to make the students aware of symptoms\,treatment and medication of Tuberculosis.\nThe students were sent to spread awareness of TB among the peoples of nearby village Galan. Students enthusiastically participated in the event by interacting with people by informing them about DOT therapy and facilities available from the State Government for the treatment of TB.\nThe event was well coordinated by Ms. Nutan Singh under the guidance of Director Dr. Babita Kumar\, HODs Dr. Shabnam Ain and Dr. Anuradha Singh
