Swachhata Pakhwada is a campaign launched by the Government of India to promote cleanliness and sanitation in the country. The campaign is an important initiative to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness and to encourage citizens to take action towards creating a cleaner and healthier India. To commemorate the Swachhata Pakhwada campaign, a speech competition was organized on the themes “Green India, Clean India” and “Waste to Wealth” on 4 October 2024 during celebration of Swachhata Pakhwada from 2nd October to 31st October 2024. The competition was designed to encourage students to think critically about the importance of cleanliness and sustainability in our environment and to promote awareness about the significance of waste management and its potential to create wealth among students and to encourage them to take action towards reducing waste and creating a sustainable future.More than 100 students of B.Pharm & D.Pharm Students of Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research and 15 Faculty members were participated in this event. All the participants delivered a speech lasting 3 to 5 minutes, addressing the theme. Judges were evaluated the speeches based on content, delivery, and overall impact. The speech should leave a lasting impression on the audience and inspire them to take action towards creating a cleaner and greener India. After a thorough evaluation of all the speeches, the winners were announced as Himani (B.Pharm 2nd year), Alisha B.Pharm 2nd year) andMahfooz (B.Pharm 1st year) got first, second and third prize respectively. The winners’ speeches showcased their creativity, knowledge and passion for creating a cleaner and greener India. All participants’ speech was clear, thoughtful and well-delivered. The event was successfully coordinated by faculty members Ms. Nutan, Ms. Sonal, Mr. Sazid and Mr. Lucky. Winners of this event were congratulated and appreciated by Director – Prof. (Dr.) Babita Kumar, HOD- Dr. Shabnam Ain for their exuberant participation. The event encouraged students to think critically about the importance of cleanliness and environmental sustainability in our daily lives. We hope that this competition will inspire more students to take action towards creating a better future for our country. The campaign has had a significant impact on promoting awareness about cleanliness and improving cleanliness standards in public places, schools, and homes.
