Sanskar College of Pharmacy and Research organized World Pancreatic Cancer Day on 21 Nov 2024. On World Pancreatic Cancer Day, students have learned about the significance of raising awareness for pancreatic cancer, a disease that often goes undiagnosed until it is in advanced stages. They discovered key facts about the pancreas, its role in the body, and how pancreatic cancer develops. Students gained a deeper understanding of the risk factors, including smoking, family history, and certain medical conditions, as well as the symptoms, which can be difficult to detect early. They also learned about the challenges faced by those diagnosed with the disease, including the limited treatment options and the need for increased research. Through discussions and educational activities, students were encouraged to support efforts for early detection, more effective therapies, and better outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients.
